It's very well put together

...however, I'm afraid the concept has been done already by Pendulum on their track "Masochist". Starts with a dramatic bongo-piano march overlaid with an announcer voice talking about what can be amounted to being afraid while on safari, when all of a sudden, yep...lion/beast roar and the song begins.

Your strong points are production skill, however, this sounded very clear and the EQ was right where it needed to be. All the elements where clear and bright, 3-dimensional.

Perhaps it was a coincidence, but a more original concept it needed.

ok i just check what the track sounded like and um...just the intro sounded alike...only a few elements sounded the same..like the roar..actually thats the only thing that sounded the same...so i dont know why your trippin

pendulum is preety sweet though thanx for intro ducin me to pendulum

Neat.

I like the whole Double Dragon feel. This track didn't really reach out and punch me in the face, but it made me realize that if someone where to make a scrolling fighter, a background like this would make it rock. I'll be watching for the finished version.

Not a bad concept

...Although this has "Subtractor presets" written all over it, but that's OK. Decent effort, good idea. Work on smoothing the rough edges, but this is alright.

Thank ya much, was a old on I had on my HD, think it was one of my first,

I use a lot of vsts but have no idea what subtractor is, atm I only use vanguard, kontakt, juno, and absynth.

Back then I only used sytrus

Who could give this low marks?

I don't understand why I had to get a message for this track saying "...raising it's score from a 2.50 to a 3.00!"

It should have been 4+ when I found it.

Amazing mix of jazz elements and tech-style synth lines, the timing was well, the mix was clear, very stylistic and pleasing. It's the sound of high rollers fo sho ;-)

Epitome responds:

Thank you.

High marks from a tough DnB reviewer

Honestly, it was the Forum thread that brought me here, but honestly it was the music that got you the marks, especially from an old-skool jaded EDM snob like myself :-)

You're on my iPod.

At least you labeled it correctly

...but as I've nit-picked in other reviews (heh), this would be better off in the "Techno" category, and I listened as far as I could and I heard no Drum N Bass breaks or anything.

Also, you did ok with the samples themselves, but if you're actually overloading with teh volume just to try to make it sound extra "awesome" or something, turn it down and just run more distortion or compression on it. A little song structure would help too, the timing of the single-sample looped breakdowns threw me off a bit.

You're aiming in the right direction but you've got a long way to go. Considering you have submissions going 2x Platinum as of this writing, perhaps you should focus on what made those productions good and apply that to the other tracks you do.

Where are the drums?

First off, what kind of "rave" music are you going for? This sounds like it wants to be trancecore, but I didn't hear any drums, it's like one massive breakdown. Add some drums to it next time, and a bass line. Basically all you have here is an eclectic lead and some high hats. A for effort, but, follow through on your execution next time.

And yes, I'm an 8 year veteran of the rave scene.

New tracks coming soon!
