I like these

...but how come they say Copyright 2001?

tinyflea responds:

that's a tough one...um...because it was made in 2001?

I want to see more

This was funny, but.. scene limit? You dont' need to make a new scene everytime the backgroudn changes you know, just make a new keyframe with a new background on your lowest layer. That way, you can go all the way to the end of each scene as far as frames go and get the most out of the movie. Think about how long Arfenhouse 2 is: that has way more "scenes" but i doubt they actually made a new Flash scene for each actual scene.

Keep it up, this was pretty funny though!

Ctiger responds:

The sound keptgoing out of sync, I used it as a techneque to put it back in sync. To be homnest I dunno what causes it to freeze but this seems the most logical explaination.

Not a bad movie

I have that song on vinyl! Asys - Acid Nightmare (Solar Records)...Gotta love it!

toxicbomb responds:

w00! I know! So awesome haha. Thanks for your review!

Very nice!

A stick movie that isn't just voilence to be voilent, there is actually a plot here! Don't see enough of that.

Don't worry, Ninja Stick has Subway for lunch...bahahaha

The animation felt a bit heavy though, but I'm not sure if it was because you use a low frame rate or something. This would be awsome at 30fps. Most older Macintoshes (mine is a 400MHz G4) tend to bog a bit with translucenty in Flash, so it could be that too. Stream your audio clips (long music especially) and Flash will drop frames if nessisary to keep the action synced with the sound.

Make more, this was good!

Halley responds:

First of all it's going slow on newgrounds for some reason, so don't think I'm THAT slow.

But yeah, I've been working a lot in 30 fps lately but started this in 12 so... meh.

The next one will be 30 though! ;) ;)

Thanks for the review!!

HAHAHAHA

Ok, rightoff the bad, that was extrordinarily stupid. However, i loved it. That was honestly funny, you should think up more really odd, random situations and film more of these!

...and yes, where DID you get the kickass NG Preloader?

HeavyMetalHampster responds:

ask deadlock32 for the loader

Very promising

I agree with the previous reviewer, you looks liek ytou have a good plot, and your artwork is beyond awsome.

That being said, the animation is a bit off. Perhaps drawing more frames and tweening less, or doing frame-by-frame if you're not already. Use the Onion Skin features, it helps a lot.

Oh, and don't spoil it, now we know the girl dies or is shot in the head, you can't show a female lead die in the trailer! ;-D

ess-jay-arr responds:

Well, if you agree with him, you can read my response to his review. =P

That clip of the girl being shot is actually falsified footage shown to the male character to make him think she's dead. NOW I've spoilt it. =P Doesn't matter though, I'm not making the full thing. Thanks for reviewing.

A series?

How about you start your series with a complete episode? What the hell was the point?

The voice acting wasn't really cheesy but it was rather quiet.

And like I said, have a story. I've had an idea for a 'toon for months down, I have art concepts, voices picked, etc. but no story at all, and the project won't go through until i do, because it would get blammed instantly for being pointless.

OK, I'll stop beng a bitter critic now, at least you're making an effort. Work on those things and EP2 will be view-worthy.

SmutMaster responds:

was ep 2 good ?

I can tell you worked really hard on this

But some criticism:

Stop tweening everything, it makes the movie look poor. Action happens too slow, too many movements look un-natural. Think about how things actualy move, and look at some tutorials about hand-drawn animation for tips that can be applied to Flash as well.

The voices sound like they where distorted when recorded, and the music was a bit loud in some parts. The reading of the letter from dad sounded like Y2Khai did it.

Work on your pace, I can tell you where excited to get to doing the fight scenes because the opening scene is rushed through.

Some lines need to be less cheesy; "Uhhh just go like clean the library or something man" and "I'll wear my gangsta shoes, maybe I can run faster" come to mind right off.

You have the drive to do a really great movie, i can tell this was not thrown together in a few hours. Take this criticism as a learning point and as your series goes on take the time to work on these things, and by the end you will be a much better Flash artist.

AligatorHead responds:

Hey man, thanks i really appreceate this critsim. Yes all this stuff you tell me is true. However there is kind of a story behind secret mansion...long ago i made secret mansion with a stupid comedy begining. SO i didnt like it, so....once secret mansion was done, then i had to delete scene one and work from there. So i had to work knowing how it ends, do you know what i mean? but hey thanks man...but dude....how am i tweening everything?

Wow.

Never before have I busted out laughing before the preloader finished. :-)

Toilet Duck as a super hero....it all seems so obvious now! MAKE MORE!

radioheadrule responds:

"You are my Hero" should hopefully beat this one in every area. I'll try my best!

This was really awsome!

Great use of the sprites to show a 2D world from a new perspective! Also, high frame rates for smoothness, and excellent audio!

My one beef is WHY do people have to make custom objects for sprite movies that don't look like sprites? It kind of throws the whole thing off a bit. Anyway, a most excellent movie, one of my all time favorates! You really *SHOULD* win the VGDC contest!

Techneon responds:

yeah, it was all in the .fla file I got from VGDC, I guess unaltered sprites can only go so far

New tracks coming soon!
